I would highly recommend taking your car here. We have lived down the street from Shige's for 20 years and have never gone here. I have no idea why but I am sure glad we did. They are great!!! From the time you walk in to follow ups after the service, 5 star service. I have even had my daughter take her car there for service. When you are looking for an honest, reliable auto shop, don't hesitate to go here, they will not disappoint!!

GREAT SERVICE!I highly recommend Shige's... they are very thorough and will tell you exactly what's wrong now and the problems that will need attention in the near future.. they're not like others repair shops that say you also need this, you need that, without even looking, just to squeeze more money out of you..My company sends all our Toyota's here because Shige's know what they're doing and does a great job.. and they stand by their repairs.. with a very good maintenance and follow up program....Finally!a repair shop you can trust.

I hate going to dealers and auto repair shops because I always felt pressured to "fix" parts of the car (where even I knew wasn't immediately imperative) or else the world will end tomorrow. I was referred to Shige's by a friend and it was the most pleasant experience I ever had at a repair shop. They are detailed and thorough in their inspection and maintenance. They tell you their honest opinions of what needs to be fixed now, in the near future, and much later. So they don't try and oversell you on anything. I'm not knowledgeable in automobiles whatsoever, so I had asked SO many questions, especially regarding things that needed to be fixed now. They were very patient and explained everything until I was satisfied. What really sold me was how they give you timely reports (pictures included) throughout their inspections and repairs. A few days later, one of the workers called me to make sure everything is working fine and thanked me for the support, which I think is a nice personal touch. The workers are so nice and this whole experience was honestly relieving. They've earned my trust and I will definitely go to them in the future.

Went there for a wheel alignment, after reading the yelp reviews. I spent more time there than I expected to, but it was worth it! They did a total inspection of my vehicle No Charge! I got a printout and explanation of things that needed addressing highlighting the most urgent and John explained everything to me. It even included prices of parts and labor. He found things I didn't know about and checked things I had been told I needed to fix, which didn't need fixing! I got a much needed alignment guaranteed for One Year, for a very reasonable price! The girl at the desk was super helpful and knowledgeable! I will definitely bring my car back as soon as I can! They have earned their Good Reputation!! Thank you for your Great Service Shige's!

You know that feeling when you know there's something wrong with your car, and you just let it go for whatever reason (money, time, laziness). But every time you get in your car you always remember you have that problem and it always bothers you. And then you finally get that problem fixed and all that stress is gone and you feel like the world is right again. Every time I leave Shige's and John has worked on my car, that free feeling from the stress is ALWAYS how I feel. I always know he fixes my car and does whatever it takes to keep it running well. I'm not even going to get into pricing, because quite honestly I don't care what he charges me, because I always know my car will be fixed. (But for those that need to know anyway. He's way cheaper than those crooked dealers, and he never tries to rip you off. If it costs a lot, he'll do his best to help you out, but he'll never add charges or work that you don't need)That's part of the secure feeling you get from him. You won't get ripped off, and you know he'll fix your car. If somehow there is a problem. He won't waffle and he'll take responsibility and fix the problem. What else can you ask for?

I have been bringing my Land Cruiser to John for over 15 years, and my husband brought his old Toyota mini-van to Shige for at least ten years before I came along! John and his crew have kept my Cruiser in great condition for over 150K miles, never ever taking advantage of me like the dealers tend to do. I appreciate his expertise, attention to details, honesty, and good humor, and fair pricing. I recommend Shige's to everyone I know who needs a reliable and trustworthy auto shop for their Japanese car.

My friends have used Shige's and told me we could trust them. I took my car in and John told me he had a like-new used part that he could use if I didn't mind it being used. He didn't charge me for the part, only the labor. Who does that?! We bought a Honda and was taking it to the dealer because it was under warranty but every time we took it in without fail they would call us saying we needed 2 or 3 more major things fixed. I convinced my husband to take the printout of what we "needed done" from Honda to Shige's and John told us that 2 of the things they said we needed really didn't need to be done yet. Our $900 estimate came down to $330. We are very happy we found them. So long, Honda dealership!

Started bring my car here a few years ago on the recommendation of those close to me and their stellar reference has been EXCEEDED. John and his crew are professional, thorough, and the cost of service is amazing. I couldn't imagine trusting my car to anyone else. Highly recommend Shige's!
